Coming up on my second year as a Recruiting Manager at Lander International
LLC, I have had the opportunity to work with clients and candidates in several
states - starting in the mid-west and Rocky Mountain States and more recently
focusing on the Southeast region. I've experienced the great satisfaction of
helping people find ideal jobs that provide them with new challenges as they
move forward in their careers. It's also been very satisfying to work with
client companies to help them find 'just the right candidates' for openings
on their audit teams.
This past year has brought a lot of changes to corporate America and in particular to the audit profession, particularly in public accounting firms and in the financial services industry. As the impact of the nation's financial crisis works its way through the economy, and as the federal government initiates its plans to deal with the crisis, even greater changes are in store for the audit profession. We are already starting to see some of these changes with our Lander International clients, and they're encouraging. Just as SOX revolutionized the audit profession a few years ago, new regulations designed to protect consumers and to provide stockholders with up-to-date, reliable information will mean more jobs for auditors. Some companies are already starting to raise the bar on hiring the best and brightest auditors in anticipation of these new regulations. And unlike SOX regulations that took a few years to implement, these new changes will likely be implemented in very short order.
All of us here at Lander International share a sincere commitment to our candidates' careers and to meeting the needs of our clients. Lander's success for 30 years has been based upon these commitments because well-placed, hard-working candidates who are excited and challenged by their jobs create satisfied clients who return to us time and time again to meet their hiring needs.
Like all of the talented professionals who work at Lander International, I bring widely diverse life experiences to my job as an executive recruiter - serving on the staffs of two U.S. Senators working on environmental and agricultural issues, political campaign management, fundraising, terms on the boards of several non-profits, and many wonderful years as executive director of two of San Francisco's leading performing arts companies - the Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe and Circus Center.
If you'd like to talk about your career or reach out to discuss an opening on your audit team, I'd be happy to have a conversation with you. I can be reached at 800-548-5318 ext. 13 or at .
