Richard is CEO and Founder of Lander International LLC, the largest full service audit recruiting firm in the world. He has been a leader in the audit profession and in the recruiting field for over thirty years. In 1998, Richard was named by INC. Magazine as the Outstanding Stand-Up CEO of the Year, and Lander International was identified by INC. as one of the "Fastest Growing Privately Held" companies in America.

In his 30 years in audit recruiting, Richard has interviewed over 10,000 auditors and has personally visited over 400 audit departments around the country. Richard regularly consults with Audit Committees and Chief Audit Executives to help them determine what makes the best internal audit departments so successful. He is an avid researcher, and has amassed a wealth of knowledge about world-class audit departments - how to build one; how to retain top talent; and how to manage succession planning and career pathing.

Richard's passion is helping people, in particular, helping audit professionals achieve their career goals. Many of the auditors who worked with Richard early on in their careers are now Chief Audit Executives or hold other leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies across the country.

Richard is a regular speaker at the national conferences of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the MIS Training Institute. He is well known for his presentations on Audit Recruiting and Retention, as well as Negotiation and Conflict Resolution for Audit Professionals. His recent presentations have covered such timely topics as Managing Generations X and Y.

Richard holds a Masters degree in English and three certifications related to the human resources field. He has served as President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. He is the only two time recipient of the Arnold Dito Award for contribution to the audit profession, given by the San Francisco ISACA Chapter. Prior to founding Lander International, Richard was an HR professional at a Fortune 500 company and had a successful career as a college and high school English instructor. He has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from CSP, California Staffing Professionals.
