I'm pleased to introduce myself as the Lander International Recruiting Coach handling Southern California. A broad range of experiences leads me to Lander. I grew up loving the Australian surf, the stage, people, and travel. So far, the Australian surf is all I'm really missing!

Auditing is a dynamic field right now and whatever your location, auditors are in demand. Southern California is a vibrant area with a wide variety of client companies hiring. It seems that San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys have not been this busy in many years. I have everything from partner positions to staff positions available.

My affinity with Southern California goes beyond the beaches, or the climate, the show business, or that lovely, long road I share a name with. This is an amazing part of the world to be in, with lots of interesting corporate activity. My background in psychology and media qualifies me well for my role here at Lander. I graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with an honors degree in Psychology. Straight out of college I worked as a social worker while putting myself through a three-year course at The National Theatre School of Drama. Next, I landed a job with the top rated radio station in Melbourne (actually, its ratings were the highest in Australia) that led me to a pretty exciting media career. I interviewed international rock stars, won an award, and was rated number one. I spent time as a journalist, newsreader, Music Director, and top rated radio announcer, eventually traveling to Europe where I worked on English-speaking stations in Italy and France.

I met an American in Madrid, got married in Venice, we had our children in Australia, and now we're enjoying the life here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I still act on the stage and do voice-overs. Along with my family and my garden, these give me a good life balance, which is valuable to all of us who are in demanding careers. In my travels I've developed a good understanding of different cultures and life experiences. I have plenty of energy, empathy, and enthusiasm. I miss surfing (the waters here are way too icy!) but I enjoy coming to work. And so should you.
